Bachelor’s Degree Exam and Dissertation

PLANNING BACHELOR’S DEGREE EXAM/ DISSERTATION

In order to apply for the bachelor’s degree exam/diploma paper exam/dissertation, the candidates have to file the following documents, as such:

The secretary’s office of the faculty:

  • Registration form for admission to the end of the academic studies exam – LINK, filed and registered at the secretary’s office of the faculty at least 10 days before the bachelor’s degree exam and at least 5 days before the dissertation exam, counted from the scheduled date for the exam.
  • Language skill certificate (for bachelor’s degree exams)
  • Notice of liquidation,for the current promotion graduates – it will be filled in by the secretary of each faculty with the student’s surname and first name, the faculty and study programme, according to the standard form. The complete forms will be printed by the secretary of each faculty and filed in at the Accountancy Office for validation. After validation, these will be collected by the secretary of each faculty and further filed in at the Social Services for validation from The Dorm and Social Services. The secretary of each faculty will further file them at the University Library and, from then on, together with the notice of liquidation, they will be returned to the Secretary’s Office.

N.B.: In exceptional cases, if the notice of liquidation comprises the student’s financial debts toward the university, the student will be subsequently informed by the secretary’s office. The students paying tuition fees have to pay all the contractual installments before they apply for the bachelor’s degree exam/dissertation at the Municipal Treasury of Cluj-Napoca in the following account: IBAN RO35TREZ21620F330500XXXX, FISCAL CODE-4288381, USAMV CLUJ Napoca. In the payment form, for the EXPLANATION section, one should fill in with the Students’ surname and first name (for whom the payment is done), Faculty, Study programme, Form of education – FULL TIME/PART TIME, Year of study, Instalment x.

If the liquidation notice contains observations related to the student’s debts toward the University Library or Social Services, when collecting the graduation certificate and specific study documents, the student will contact the respective departments and will then file in the corresponding legal justification, namely, the notice of liquidation signed and stamped by the respective department.

The secretary of the examination commission:

  • the agreement of the student’s thesis supervisor related to filing and presenting the bachelor’s degree thesis/dissertation Session
  • the graduate’s affidavit stating the personal authorship of the bachelor’s degree thesis/dissertation
  • the bachelor’s degree thesis/dissertation in a printed and electronic format

N.B.:  Students passing the bachelor’s degree exam will collect the Graduation Certificate in 30 days from the exam date. If the deadline is not respected, they will collect the graduation certificate from the University Archives.

Students failing the bachelor’s graduation exam/dissertation or those that are not present at the bachelor’s degree exam/diploma paper exam/dissertation can ask for a graduation certificate without the bachelor’s degree exam from the secretary’s office of the faculty.
