Forestry
The 4 year bachelor’s degree study programme in Forestry, specialisation Forestry has uninterruptedly functioned since 2001-2002, being accredited by ARACIS (Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) for a student capacity of 100. This study programme functioned in the The Forestry Office, now The Forestry Department of The Faculty of Forestry until 2022.
The 2 year master’s degree study programme in Forest Ecosystem Management is a programme accredited by ARACIS in 2011, for a student capacity of 50 and 4 academic semesters. The 2 year master’s degree study programme in Sustainable Management of Biodiversity and Forest Resources was accredited by ARACIS in 2017 for a student capacity of 50.
Land Survey and Cadastre
The bachelor’s degree study programme in Geodetic Engineering, specialisation Land Survey and Cadastre resulted from reorganizing the 3 year CADASTRE specialisation in the field of Geodesy of The Short-term Academic College, temporarily established in compliance with HG no. 535/1999 published in MO no. 324/07.07.1999. The restructuring was carried out in compliance with Law 288/2004 and HG no. 88/2005 and the study programme functioned in The Exact Sciences Office, now The Department of Land Survey and Exact Sciences, a department that belonged to The Faculty of Horticulture until 2022. There are 6 graduating classes registered between 1999-2004, the last graduating class of The College of Cadastre being the class of 2007. In 2003, The College of Agricultural Cadastre becomes The College of Cadastre. There is also an academic extension of The College of Agricultural Cadastre functioning in Sibiu between 2001-2003.
Before being officially certified as a bachelor’s degree study programme, the legal status of the bachelor’s degree field of specialisation in Geodetic Engineering, specialisation Land Survey and Cadastre as well as its inclusion in the structure of The Faculty of Horticulture were established in compliance with HG no 88/2005, government notice 1002/09.05.2005, HG no. 676/2007 published in MO no. 481/18.07.2007, p.31, HG no. 635 published in MO no. 467/24.06.2008, p. 25, HG no.749/2009 published in MO no.465/06.07.2009 and HG no.1093 approved to modify HG no.749 published in MO no.684/2009, p.12.
The bachelor’s degree study programme Land Survey and Cadastre was accredited in 2012 with the “Limited Trust” quality descriptor for a student capacity of 80. The bachelor’s degree study programme Land Survey and Cadastre was accredited by ARACIS in 2014 with the quality descriptor “Trust” for a student capacity of 60. The periodic external evaluation of 2019 for the bachelor’s degree study programme Land Survey and Cadastre results in an increase of educational capacity to 80 students. The quality descriptor granted in 2019 was “High Trust”.
The master’s degree study programme in Geodetic Engineering, specialisation Geodetic Engineering is accredited, for the first time in Transylvania, in 2017. The master’s degree study programme in Surveying Systems and Cadastre had a student capacity of 25. As a result of the 2022 ARACIS periodical external evaluation, this study programme was accredited for a student capacity of 60.
